Tips in Changing Core Bit from Drill Machine

When drilling using a core bit, there might times that an operator may need to change the core bit and replaced a new one. One of the main or common mistakes observed when handling core bit drill is the incorrect size of the hole which means the project is totally ruin when that results may occur. In order to drill the hole with correct diameter, the core drill user or operator should see and know how to change a core bits in the core drill.

1 – Make sure that the core drill machine is unplugged.
2 – Removed the chucked key from the key holder of the power tool usually located on the right side of the drilling machine which is just above the chuck.
3 - Insert the chuck key into the chuck of the core bit drill, ensuring that the teeth on the chuck key interlock with the teeth on the core drill chuck. Turn the chuck key counterclockwise to loosen the chuck and release the bit.
4 - Remove the core bit and replace it with the desired and proper size drill bit. Make certain that the shaft of the new drill bit is in the drill chuck straight and as far as it can go. Turn the chuck key clockwise until the chuck closes around the new drill bit. Return the chuck key to the chuck key holder and plug the drill press into a power source, completing the changing of drill bit in the core drilling machine.
